How Long is a 1 Hour Massage?

Membership at Vibrant Life Day Spa entitles members to our Signature massage for $60 an hour. Our signature massage is a full 60 minutes with 15 minutes between appointments. The spa industry schedules appointments every hour with most spas offering a service time of 50 minutes.

Is it possible that 10 minutes can make a difference?

Let's examine the difference that 10 minutes makes. Scheduling on the hour leaves the service provider just 10 minutes between treatments for the following:
1. Guest gets off table, dresses and leaves. 2. The therapist re-makes the room and table and gets rid of soiled linens. 3. Locate the next guest and escort them to the room. 4. Conduct a pre-service interview. 5. Guest disrobes and gets on the table. The actual hands-on time is more often only 45 minutes. This is not a realistic time table to expect anyone to adhere to without compromising service and/or quality.

At Vibrant Life Day Spa, we feel it is essential for both client and therapist that appointments be offered with an entire hour of hands-on time and adequate recovery time in between for the therapist. That is why we created the Signature massage. You have plenty of time to discuss what you would like with your provider and ask any questions you may have. No need to choose a modality from a menu because your therapist will tailor your experience to your requests and take the time to address all your concerns. Then we add a few extras, like hot towels and aromatherapy lotions blended by our own aroma therapist for those who enjoy being pampered. We also have hot or cold compresses and liniment for those with achy muscles. Each Signature massage is a little bit different depending on your needs.
